Street Fighter Pills To Keep You Indestructible In The Bedroom (NSFW)

Love it or hate it, the theme song to Street Fighter IV probably has you thinking of it as a fighting mantra.  However, apply the same lyrics to some more adult activities and the result is pretty hilarious.

After the jump, a picture of some (surely unauthorized) Street Fighter-themed pills to boost sexual performance, featuring Ryu and Chun-Li in a compromising situation.  Spotted at Nite Cap, a porn store in Staten Island, it's obviously NSFW.

Espgaluda II Is the Last Region-Free Cave Release
Written by Marc DeAngelis

Cave's most recent shooter port, Espgaluda 2, was released two days ago, and yet another port of Ketsui is on its way, not to mention the North American release of Death Smiles.  But that Ketsui port and all future Japan-only ports will definitely not be region-free, as some were hoping.  Cave's Makoto Asada broke the news on Cave's website yesterday:

Thank you for the warm messages from all over the world.
Espgaluda II Black Label Normal Edition is region free.
But I'm afraid new games after Espgaluda II Black Label won't be region free.
I assure you that Espgaluda II Black Label Normal Edition will be the last region free game for the time being.

It seems like Cave are looking to publish more global releases than just Death Smiles (pending good sales numbers), so I hereby command you to buy at least one copy of the game when it comes out later this year.

Your Mac May Soon Have Steam
Written by Daniel Lloyd

Based on some findings in the Steam file directory, and a posting that Valve was looking for Linux and Mac engineers, there's a good chance the online gaming platform could be making the jump from a Windows exclusive.  The catch, though, seems to be the game will have to be natively Mac capable.  So just because it's on Steam, doesn't mean it will be on Mac.  But if this were to happen, I'm sure more developers would make ports or native versions for Apple.

Mac Rumors has some photos and more details, but if this were to come to be, I'd be first in line to sign up.  As the rest of The BBPS crew is always talking about the games they got on various Steam sales, and playing this and that, I am forever jealous that despite my giant museum of video game junk, I can't partake due to my using a Mac.  Make this happen Valve!

Yo Dawg, I Heard You Liked Nintendo....

When most of you had most likely all but written off the Wii, especially with some giant early 2010 releases still coming for the 360 and PS3, Nintendo made some incredible announcements recently at their North American media summit.

Analog Games Corner - 7 ate 9, Super Circles and Run Wild

I'm a gamer, always have been. Problem is for a large number of years that's really just consisted of the video variety. That's a huge mistake on my part, to not enjoy the video game's analog brethren... the board game. There’s actually a vibrant and intense board game world out there that’s been pushed to the sidelines by game players such as ourselves for too long. In this column I'll be diving into this world, looking at games that hopefully you'd like to try out for yourself.

Out of the Box Publishing is quickly becoming one of my favorite game companies. They were the original publisher of Apples to Apples, and have a fantastic current lineup including Cloud 9 and Word on the Street that we've reviewed here. Well up next is a set of 3 card games that came out in late 2009 that share a similar play style but each are different enough that getting them all won't feel redundant. They're also dirt cheap and come in a little tin to carry them around. So it makes sense to kind of lump them in together in one edition of the Analog Games Corner. Away we go!

The Second Annual BBPS Video Game Guide To The Oscars

It’s Oscar season!  Buzz words like ‘nominations,’ ‘critical,’ and ‘performance of a lifetime’ are most likely finding your ears.  With the big awards airing on March 7, there’s not much time left to catch up on the films you missed.

But what if your Netflix queue is full and the cineplex is sold out?  How will you know what to root for?  Well, TheBBPS has again come to your rescue with our Annual Video Game Guide To The Oscars.  Why read a book when you can watch a movie, and why watch a movie when you can play a game?  With new voting rules in place at the Academy, there are now ten films nominated for Best Picture, so let's see how each of those compare to some similar video game counterparts.

Bitcast: Episode 83 - Curlling Rocks!
Written by Dan Zuccarelli

Can't speak for everyone else around here, but Olympic fever always gets a pretty good grip on me... especially the Winter Games. I'm not one for typically watching sports in any way, shape or form but there's something quite enjoyable about the Olympics. Especially the curling. Yes, I'm serious.

As an American I usually get some strange looks when I mention I'm a curling fan, which I both am used to and don't give a shit about. As I said to a friend just the other day I'll take the precision and strategy of curling over the violence and egos of most major sports any day. So what does any of that have to do with either video games or this week's bitcast? Nothing. Not a thing. Just understand however.... curling? It rocks!

ChipTuesday: OSCulator

Nintendo's Wiimote uses Bluetooth to talk to your Wii.  Using non-proprietary technology means homebrewers can get the Wiimote to do what Nintendon't.  One of the best programs to make use of the white wand in a musical way is OSCulator for OS X.

OSCulator is a very flexible app; it's compatible with some of the best and most widely used DAWs like Live (used in both videos) and Logic, and can be manipulated by several different forms of makeshift controllers such as Wacom tablets, the iPhone, the Wii balance board, a keyboard and mouse, and of course, the Wiimote.  As far as the Wiimote goes, you can point it around on X and Y axes to activate different notes or effects, much like a Kaoss Pad.  Just make sure you've got the remote's rubber case on so that you don't end up with a cracked iMac screen.

Movie Poster May Bring Tear To Your Eye, Video Armageddon To Your Memory

This gorgeous movie poster by Brandon Schaefer is just my cup of tea.  Minimalist, clean and simple, with a bit of inside joke for good measure.  If you've seen The Wizard, you will definitely get a rush of nostalgia upon seeing this.  I would definitely hang this on my wall, proudly.

If you haven't seen The Wizard, I revoke your nerd card.  Turn your Memory Paks and glasses in at the desk on your way out.  Once you do see The Wizard, we maybe will consider letting you back in.

See more of Schaefer's artwork and links to purchase at SlashFilm.

Alex Is Pissed, Might Beat You Up

Street Fighter III characters, Dudley, Ibuki, and Makoto have been officially announced for Super Street Fighter IV.  But what about the face of SFIII, Alex?  Why add some SFIII characters, but not the fan favorite?  As excited as I am for the three new characters, I'm sorely disappointed by the lack of Alex (and Q for that matter.)
Any characters in SSFIV you were expecting, but weren't announced?  Any of the new announcements surprise and/or excite you?  Let us know in the comments!
