Only 2 so far, but it's a start. Bonk's Adventure and Bomberman '93. Both excellent titles by the way. I tried to add some points to my Wii console but it gave me a "server is busy" error. I also had to retype ALL my credit card info in again, man that's a pain in the ass compared to the 360. Maybe I'll just buy one of them there points cards instead.Sorry, little tangent. Hopefully we'll be seeing lots and lots of fast additions, F-Zero plays like the old days and I want more games! |

This is a case mod that I might actually pay someone to do. Without any detail pictures to back me up this is the nicest looking case mod I've ever seen. Great color scheme and fine, fine work went into this "first ever" case mod. Hit the jump and let the two pics do all the talking: |

Last month my 360 got owned by Saints Row, flashing the "Red Ring o Death". After talking to customer support, I had to send the console in for repair, and pay $139.00 to get it done. Dammit, nothing like sitting down to play a game after work on a Sunday night and end up being out $140.But Wait! In between paying the fee and getting my console back, Microsoft changed their repair policy and decided to cover the first run of 360's. So I was told I'd be getting a check back in the mail. And lo and behold, I got it today! With the following little note attached: Dear Xbox Repair Customer: Upon further review of internal repair data, it has come to our attention that the Xbox 360 console you previously paid to repair is qualified for a free out of warranty repair. Attached is a check to reimburse you for this matter. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have an questions, please call 1-800-4MY-XBOX. Best Regards, Xbox Customer Service
It should be said that Microsoft really stepped up and did the right thing here. By taking responsibility for the problems and refunding peoples repair fees, the leave people with a much better feeling about the console in general. |

I think it's safe to say that of the regular crew here I spend the most time (and possibly the only time) playing games on my PC...especially since danzuke and Greshkov are rocking Macs at home. Since we're all about building a better community of gamers I want to extend the invitation to help me build my friends list on Xfire. If you're unfamiliar with the program it's sort of like Xbox Live for PCs. It's a central point for seeing who's online, what they're playing and getting in contact with them. It also does handy dandy things like automatically downloading patches for your installed games in the background. My username is, of course, Harpua Scorpio. Here's my profile:
Please be my friend...pwetty pweeze? |

Not really taking like killing us, but destroying the youth of America from the inside. WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!! Bill O'Reilly, doing his very best to top Jack Thompson, went on what one could call a little bit of a tangent about today's youth being controlled by machines. I could write-up all kinds of stuff debunking this or that but I think I'm just gonna cut this one loose. Dear readers, tell us what you think about what he's got to say. [Transcript courtesy of GamePolitics.com] American society is changing for the worse because of the machines… In the past to flee the real world people usually chose drugs or alcohol… now you don’t have to do that, Now all you have to do is have enough money to buy a machine…Basically what you have is a large portion of the population, mostly younger people under the age of 45, who don’t deal with reality - ever. So they don’t know what day it is; they don’t know temperature it is; they don’t know what their neighbor looks like. They don’t know anything… because they are constantly diverted by a machine. Now what this does is it takes a person away from reality because they’ve created their own reality… The newest thing is the PlayStation 3. Now this is a machine that allows you to play games in hi-def and all this other stuff… It’s the newest state of the art system from Sony…. It has a video game console, plays DVDs, connects you to the Internet, tells you how handsome you are. It’s six-hundred bucks. Now people lined up for hours to get this thing. Hours!... But wait! There's more! |

I wanted to point out real quick one of the new features we've integrated into the site. Over on the right sidebar there's a section for our 5 most recent postings, and if you're on an individual story page, it displays a few similar stories for you to check out. It's nothing major, but it gives you quicker access to some of our older stories that you might enjoy. Also, the reason for the double sidebar is so we can keep the same amount of important content on display at all times as we hopefully lure/trick/fool/convince advertisers to join the site. I don't want ads to come at the expense of content. |

Apparently this group called Little Brother had a song called "Atari 2600, it's for the children". Then someone else came along and cut together the requisite music video. It's worth it for the deep funk and guys singing about Atari like they sing about making sweet sweet love. "We got Q*bert, you gotta jump on them blocks, turn them shits different colors." Now this isn't a commentary on Sony fans or Nintendo fans. But most of the violence and tension seemed to be during the great PS3 campout of 2006. Most likely due to the opportunistic looking to flip it. So here's to the scalpers.
