"Hello 911? They took my XBOX!" "Sir, have you been a victim of a robbery?" "No, they took it! My parents did!" "OK, they took it...and beat you with it? Smashed it over your head? Strangled and whipped you with one of the cords? What exactly is the emergency here?" "They just...took it!" *Click*
Apparently, the Chicago-area youth was upset at being punished, and in a tantrum more befitting someone a third his age, decided to call 911 and ask if his parents had a right to take his XBOX. Officers later showed up at his residence to confirm that his parental units did indeed have the right and advise him to listen to his parents.
The article goes on to mention that the cops didn't know why the boy was being punished. Let's hope his parents are clairvoyants and were pre-emptively punishing him for abusing 911.
