EyePet - nominated by Jim (on behalf of his kids)
Let's get one thing out of the way real quick; I'm super excited about EyePet because I'm a dad. I have two little girls who have watched the EyePet trailer so many times that their eyes now bleed monkey cuteness. I don't have a lot of faith that it can possibly live up to it's promise, but I want it to so badly for them. Hell -- I don't even know if this will ever see the light of day. Word on the street is November, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Metroid Prime Trilogy - nominated by Jim
While EyePet may be the game that will bring the most happiness to my home, Trilogy is the one that will bring most happiness to my soul. I loved the first Prime, but never got around to the second, which in turn made trying the third an absolute no go. Now that I can work my way through with motion controls? I'm in like Flynn.
Scribblenauts - nominated by Marissa, Daniel, Marc, Jim, your mom, my mom, the dog, etc..
While there are definitely a variety of upcoming games on our radar, let's face facts. Everybody is looking forward to Scribblenauts. This September's premier DS release, you'll bring just about anything you can think of to life simply by spelling it. Anybody up for some Cthulu vs God in a skateboard shotgun match action? No, we're not kidding. They claim the possibilities are limitless, and we can't wait to put that to the test this fall.
Left 4 Dead 2 - nominated by Daniel
Are we angry that Valve finally went and did something out of character, announcing a full on sequel instead of lengthening the love for L4D with ongoing downloadable content? Hells yeah! But I think we can let it slide just this once. Left 4 Dead 2 adds a little cajun flavor to your zombie survival, taking the slaughter south to New Orleans. Oh -- and did we mention chainsaws? Yeah. There's chainsaws.
