Microsoft gives out Cash Money

cash-money.jpgLast month my 360 got owned by Saints Row, flashing the "Red Ring o Death". After talking to customer support, I had to send the console in for repair, and pay $139.00 to get it done. Dammit, nothing like sitting down to play a game after work on a Sunday night and end up being out $140.

But Wait!

In between paying the fee and getting my console back, Microsoft changed their repair policy and decided to cover the first run of 360's. So I was told I'd be getting a check back in the mail. And lo and behold, I got it today!

With the following little note attached:

Dear Xbox Repair Customer:

Upon further review of internal repair data, it has come to our attention that the Xbox 360 console you previously paid to repair is qualified for a free out of warranty repair. Attached is a check to reimburse you for this matter.

We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have an questions, please call 1-800-4MY-XBOX.

Best Regards,

Xbox Customer Service

It should be said that Microsoft really stepped up and did the right thing here. By taking responsibility for the problems and refunding peoples repair fees, the leave people with a much better feeling about the console in general.

they're hitting their stride. if five years ago you would have told me that sony would make things that weren't user friendly, and basically allow execs to piss off ever cutomer, and that microsoft would make a user friendly system and have good customer relations, i would have laughed at you.

Ahhhh so my attempts at drawing a heart are now going to make your page not validate as I'm opening tags everwhere! Muhaha! I see.

I suppose the only way to make less-than-three work is to change all tag things into the HTML code for it; or for me to just use html code for it. <3 <3 !!

Sucks that it was a copyrighted image.. I liked it! Just take a bunch of screenies from old games (like Keen or Cosmo or VGA Miner http://www.psp-programming.com/jsharrad/minerpsp) and make them into a panorama. That'd be awesome!
