Amazon handing out free "Release Day Delivery" upgrade for some games

Well look here, some good news in my inbox from Amazon! A few weeks back I pre-ordered Fallout 3 (obviously for the PS3), and decided to just get the regular shipping. While I figure I'll be ripping my hair out to play it the week it's released I thought that since I'm an adult I can keep myself under control for a few days and save money on the shipping.

Well looks like I won't have to! Just a little bit ago I got the below email from Amazon, telling me that since so many people are looking forward to getting their hands on Fallout 3 ASAP, that they're upgrading me to "release day delivery" for free! That's good stuff, and a good step for Amazon to take to make them a more appealing place to get all these games.

Here's the email in full:

Hello from Amazon.com.

We are writing to you today because you purchased a pre-order copy of 'Fallout 3.'

We are now able to offer Release-Date Delivery for this video game. This special delivery option is available to you for no additional charge and has been automatically applied to your order. Your copy of Fallout 3 will arrive on Tuesday, October 28th.

We realize that many of our customers are huge Fallout fans, and we're happy to offer Release-Date Delivery to get this title to you even faster.

Thank you for shopping at Amazon.com.

Sincerely,

Customer Service Department

Oops you fucked up.

I read your title and wondered why that should be newsworthy. You repeated your mistake in your post too - do you not notice that Amazon's "Release-Date Delivery" describes something much better than what "Release Day Shipping" implies?
