(Belated) New Years Resolutions?

Killzone 2

I realize I may be a bit late with this question, (and I also realize that might be a bit of an understatement), but I was curious as to what your New Years resolution(s) is (are)?  I can say with complete honesty that I have NEVER stuck with a resolution so there might not be much of a point in even trying but I find them to be kind of fun.  This year I have decided to try three simple resolutions as opposed to one impossible one (like stop drinking...), check them out after the jump:

1.  I will touch my Wii at least once a month... and since that sounds a little dirty, I'll add some details: I will play with my Wii at least once a month.  Still think that sounds naughty?  Than shame on you for you have a dirty mind.

2.  I will not buy more than one game a month.  This might be impossible (for I am far from thrifty), but I shall give it a try because games are expensive.

3.  I will finish some of my games before buying new ones.  I bought so many games during the holiday rush late last year and I still haven't finished half of them, including (but not limited to): Far Cry 2, Prince of Persia, Saints Row 2, and LittleBigPlanet.

I'm confident these resolutions will keep me busy.  I don't actually expect to succeed, but if I last until February that'll be better than last year.  So what are your (gaming related) resolutions for this exciting New Year, and more importantly, what are the chances you'll actually stick with them?

I've gone on a similar line with number 3 - Not Starting a new game until one is out of the door. Too often i start games, enjoy them but then i get distracted by another one that comes out or i buy cheap. Case in point: I've picked up mirrors edge, and made a start. Skate 2 is out friday, but i'm not buying it till i've finished Mirrors edge. If this was last year i'd have picked up Skate 2, played it and never finished Mirrors edge.

Great question, sir!

I have a few;

1. Get through my pile of shame. It has grown a great deal since last we saw it, and there's just no excuse. I'm going to try and avoid the impulse to bring home the latest and greatest games just because they're the latest and greatest. I have a small mountain of Xbox and PS2 games just waiting to be dug in to.

2. Refocus on the small. Last years big resolution for me was that I'd try to write more about smaller and independent titles that are being overlooked by the regular media. I think I did a good job of that, but in 2009 I can do better. WiiWare needs a champion, and I should be it.

3. Play with friends more. For the most part, I'm a single player guy. But I've so many titles that can be enjoyed both offline and on with friends that I need to take advantage of this. I always have more fun in a group (wink wink), so I think I need to start trending towards that.

That's everything off the top of my head. Anybody else?
