Bionic Commando: Rearmed on the PS3 works with remote play? Sweet!

Ok, I didn't end up picking the game up last week (360 or PS3) but now seeing that it does indeed work with the PS3/PSP remote play that Sony seems to love to ignore I'm suddenly very very interested.

Seriously, why is this feature of the PS3 and PSP not talked about more? It's like it's some hidden gem that Sony doesn't want everyone knowing about. Which boggles my mind cause it's a fraking kick-ass feature. Just another reason to start to questing why we're paying 50 bucks a year for Xbox Live when we get the PSN for free.

I don't get why this is so amazing, surely if you bought the game from the PSN then you're going to be playing it on your PS3...with the big TV and not on a PSP. Unless you can play it in a completely different place from the PS3, like a different house or something.

You can Muffin Man. I can turn on my PS3 via my PSP from anywhere in the world where I can get a wifi signal. The PS3 interface is then recreated on the PSP and from there can download stuff from the PSN, watch videos, or in the case of games with remote play, play the games right there over the web onto the PSP.

It's how I play Pixel Junk Monsters when I'm away from home. I connect to my PS3 and the PSP becomes a sort of thin client.

It's awesome.

It's also nice when the missus wants to use the big TV, but not the PS3. I can go get my Bionic Commando (/Eden/Monsters) on using the portable in another room.

Whenever I attempt remote play, there is a delay in it not to mention there is some degredation in how it looks. That natural?

The delay might be due to the internet connection, and there's definitely some degradation of screen quality. It's just the nature of emulating the screen across the network, and to keep the lag to a minimum I guess they decided that knocking down the graphics was a necessary evil.
