It\'s ICY BITCHES

The internet has been abuzz since yesterday when Blizzard changed their splash screen to the above image leading many to believe that they have something big to announce this weekend during the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational. Could it be Diablo 3? A Starcraft 2 date announcement? Wrath Of The Litch King date/beta? Starcraft Ghost?!?!

We'll have our eyes peeled for you so stay tuned!

Although this could be something to do with StarCraft 2 or Diablo 3, I suspect that it's related to Wrath of the Lich King, as most of the zones in Warcraft's second expansion are icy and frozen-ish.

If it's Ghost I'll cry tears of joy, I was so hyped up for that.

Xerxes is probably right about it being some lame ass WoW announcement though.

Us starcrafters don't get no respect.

If they're announcing Ghost, I'm sure that there's a release date for Duke Nukem 4 as well. =)

I dunno. Could be an announcement about the Lich King, but that splash screen could just as easily be minerals from Starcraft as it is some icy formation. I sincerely doubt it'd be related to a Diablo game, though. [Although they might announce the availability for it through the download store - but not exactly related to the splash screen, issit?] Anyway, to sum up my thoughts...

* Too soon for a Diablo announcement
* Too mysterious/quirky for a WoW announcement that we already know fairly well about
* Different/New IP? HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Yeah, I'm guessing it's related to Starcraft.

My money's still on some new feature of the next WoW expansion. I would bet they've been holding out on a couple huge aspects of it- stuff that wasn't in the leaked alpha.

Its more or less probably gonna be the expansion release date announcement. At least that is what a lot of people think, plus one of the runes etched into the ice is the same rune from Athas' Frostmourne sword. Plus the images have all been named ice1.jpg and such

Ah, well then, swiftwulf... If that's the case, you guys are probably right about the Lich King thing.
