C64 = The Good Old Days

I have a confession to make -- I've never owned a Commodore 64. My cousin did though, and like everyone else I have warm and fuzzy memories of being a wee young lad and losing hours of my life to C64 gaming. I'd stay at my cousins house every summer and bang out hour after hour of track design in Racing Destruction Set. It was more fun than any six year old should have.

I don't think anyone out there my age or above doesn't have fond memories of their days when a blue screen represented an opportunity to break out the fun instead of a reason to toss your PC through a window. Over at CNN they've put together a nice little retrospective on the C64 in honor of the machines 25th anniversary. Check it out, and then report back here and let us know your Commodore memories!

My friend had a C64, but I was an Apple II geek. I still have my //c and a bunch of Infocom games in their original boxes with all the Infocom swag. Oh, the memories.
