Cookie & Cream hopping out of obscurity and onto DS

cookieandcream.jpgIf you're an eagle-eyed member of our forums, chances are you already know of my love for The Adventures of Cookie & Cream. Needless to say I'm super-excited about the following announcement; Agetec is bringing the duo out of retirement and onto the DS.  The title originally appeared on the PS2 way back in 2001 and was purchased by about 3 people, so to call this a surprise would be something of an understatement.

I'd like to come up with some brilliantly original words to explain the concept of Cookies & Cream, but it's a Sunday and I'm lazy. Here's my description of the game from our forums two weeks ago;

Everybody knows the best PS2 game was Adventures of Cookies and Cream.

I joke, but it's the perfect date game since you both use the same controller at the same time. You control Cookies with the left analog, she controls Cream with the right.

...and if all goes well, she'll be doing some cream control with BOTH hands later.

And with that I've weaseled my way into all of your hearts (and some of your restraining orders.) How the dual control/co-op idea is going to work on the DS has yet to be announced, though I assume it will involve someone on the D-Pad and someone using the buttons as a makeshift D-Pad. Either way, I'm psyched.
