I've looked all over for the best console mods out there; I began with the Xbox 360, followed by the PS3, and now this epic journey will meet its end... with the Wii. I thought it would be difficult to find excellent Wii mods, but I was way wrong. Not only did I find some rather spectacular mods for Nintendo's adorable TV breaker, but some of the ones I discovered are actually better then the ten mods I found for the PS3 and 360. So read on dear reader, for the five best Wii mods, and see which one made #1.
#5: Wii, Meet Gamecube, Gamecube, meet Wii
This mod gives the Wii some neon blue controller ports so gamers who miss the ways of the GameCube can connect their controllers there, and while the mod doubles the size of the Wii, it still looks pretty cool. Plus, hollowfreak gets bonus points for making this mod look like a perfectly natural expansion of Nintendo's console.

#4: The Wii Link would have if he had a Wii
I'll assume Link is a gamer, every kid needs a little time off to relax when he's not saving the world from creepy bad guys with orange hair and and extremely logn nose. So if he's in the market for a Wii I recommend this one (found here). The attention to detail is amazing, I especially like the texture and the awesome Triforce emblem.

#3: Samus is definitely a girl gamer
Let's face it, everyone loves girl gamers, and I think it's safe to bet that everyone's favorite laser-arm wielding kickass chick in orange armor is a gamer (when she's not slaying purple dragons). And this Wii by Morpheon Mods definitely does her justice.

#2: Pimp My Wii
Two Zelda themed Wiis? That's crazy, but so is this blinged out Wii by Crystal Icing, which is great for pimps and Zelda fans. Before you check your wallet to see if you can add this to your collection you should know that the gold parts of this casemod are Swarovski crystals dipped in 24-karat gold, so this probably costs more than a month's allowance.

#1: You saw this one coming.
Of course there's going to be a Mario themed Wii, but this one makes #1 because it has an added bonus: the pipe doubles as a charger for your wiimotes (clever and tasteful). Not enough for you? Modder Joe also has a tutorial to help you create your own awesome Wii mod.
