Dark Sector demo set for December release

darksector_ps3_fob_final.jpgPre-release demo fans rejoice! The demo for Dark Sector, D3 Publisher and Digital Extremes upcoming third-person action-shooter, will land on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 online services this December, a month before retail release.

Earlier in the year 1UP.com reported the Dark Sector demo was expected to launch between October and November, but at the PlayStation Holiday Press Preview Event in Toronto, Canada, the publicity manager for D3 Publisher told us that gamers should expect a playable demo this December, closer to Christmas.

Dark Sector is the latest game from Digital Extremes; the Canadian-based development team behind the Epic Games title, Unreal Tournament 2003.

Dark Sector is scheduled to be released on January 22, 2008, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

A full hands-on preview of the PlayStation 3 version will hit the site this Friday.
