Don't Worry, The PS4 Is Coming!

Though they've barely just launched the PS3, Sony is starting to debunk the rumors that there won't be a PS4 because of management changes. Look for it in 2010 "or so". Maybe if they start making the console now they can meet launch demand. In the meantime:

Sony intends to work on firmware upgrades for the PS3, get new games on the market and complete its launch. Planned are “at least 20 new games” to coincide with the European launch in March.

I'm quite sure this was just to silence the analysts that were saying that now the Kutaragi is gone, the playstation is no more. Which I'm quite certain is not the case, the PS3 will gain traction and I'm sure a PS4 will follow.

Besides, losing the console battle for good takes quite a long time, just ask SEGA.

yeah, you have to have two failed consoles in a row, and not have the pockets of sony or ms to go under. hell, nintendo kept afloat with handheld sales. it takes a lot to sink a company. and even when sony doesn't win this generations console war, they'll be back because with the first playstation, sony made more money than they made selling everything else they ever made until that point. even though lately it doesn't seem like it, they take this video game thing very seriously.
