Dungeons & Dragons has, how shall I say, never been all that cool. Images of super geeks LARPing in parking lots and wooded lots ala "Role Models" dances through one's head;or, conversely, a bunch of basement dwelling B-12 deficient dice rollers huddled over cards and figurines. So when you're making a game called "Dragon Age", set in precisely the kind of world that one thinks the aforementioned socially challenged wished they lived in, getting over that kind of stigma becomes a priority. How to do this? Create awesome, awesome trailers. Better yet, break down the fourth wall and make fun of the very subject matter your creating, as in this spoof below.
Hilarious. But the real trailers for Dragon Age are just as freaking awesome, with far less toungue in cheek. Time to go strap on a costume and go LARPing. Who's with me?!
