E3: Microsoft Press Conference, Top 5 Moments

For those of you that didn't want to stay up until one in the morning to wait for a glimpse of Peter Moore's biceps that just never came, don't worry -- theBBPS has you covered. It's probably worth mentioning before we get started that there wasn't really any big news spilling out of the Microsoft camp last night. For the most part the big M played it safe, showcasing games that we've all seen and heard about before and making no announcements that weren't expected or anticlimatic. So without further adieu, the five big moments from the show;

Resident Evil 5 confirmed for the 360: Ever since it was announced, nobody knew whether or not RE5 would be gracing the big white console. Last night it was made official, and they showcased the following kick ass trailer (which should be on the marketplace July 26th);

Video Marketplace Going Global: For those of us outside of the US, the past year has been a frustrating time. Microsoft kept telling us how great the Video Marketplace was doing, yet refused to announce any plans for rolling it out worldwide. That changes last night. By the end of the year, gamers in the UK and Canada will be able to fire up shitty episodes of original Star Trek just like the rest of you!

Halo 3 Limited Edition Console Unveiled: Nobody was asking for a Halo 3 edition of the 360, and if you don't believe me just listen to the crowd reaction (or lack thereof) when it was announced. Definitely one of the biggest stinkers of the show. Hit the jump for the video over at Kotaku.

Call of Duty 4 Public Beta: The boys from Infinity Ward walked us through some playable CoD4, which looked beyond sweet. Then they surprised us with some of the coolest news of the show -- a public beta of the multiplayer is on the way!

Halo Movie: In retrospect, this is probably far less significant than most people realize, but one of the big highlights of the show was a clip being dubbed "Halo: Arms Race." It's being touted as what the film will look like if we ever get to see the damn thing. The problem is people are acting like this is some kind of confirmation that the release of the film is imminent, and nothing could be further from the truth. Still -- if you're a Halo fan, chances are you're really going to dig this;
