Something here looks different but I can't really put my finger on what it is

I know we're all getting sick of these "target renders" that companies give us years before a game is released. We get all hot and bothered for these insane visuals only to be somwhat disappointed when the game launches. I know I say that graphics don't really matter but something tells me when a game comes out that looks like the target render below I'll be a happier man. What they need to do is stop selling us these videos as gameplay.

While agree with you that it's not about the graphics. Graphics are what people see first. Motorstorm releases in Japan later this month, and while I'm not too hype about off-roading games, I'm interested in seeing what the final prduct will look like. The actual gameplay footage that's being shown in this video is old. Now I dont think it will look as good as the target render, but we should at least wait until the final game is out to compare the 2. Anyone willing to import? Oh yeah, and the demo that you can download from the Playstation Store shows a lot of promise, and is a beautiful looking game. Youtube looks like balls compared to my HD set.
