EA's skate. might actually be worth looking into

I got tired of the Tony Hawk formula about 3 games ago, and I think I lasted longer than most. I was initially interested when skate. was announced, if only because it seemed more realistic and had a kick ass song in the trailer.

But this video, showing off the new "flickit" controls has me all sorts of excited.

I still love me some Tony Hawk. THPS4 and Underground 2 tried my patience a bit, but American Wasteland was quite good and Project 8 was great.

Still, skate. looks pretty interesting. I just hope it's not as frustrating as Thrasher: Skate and Destroy was back in the day.
