mini_ban_final1.jpgAltaïr Cosplay

It's cosplay time again kids! After passing through hordes of overdone (but well done) Final Fantasy costumes, I spotted a slick new character the kids are going for.

While making my way to the media center at the FanExpo in Toronto, Ontario, I passed by a dedicated UbiSoft fanatic decked out as the upcoming Assassin's Creed protagonist, Altaïr. After I picked up my badge and press kit I ran back to chat with him but he, ironically, disappeared.

Luckily, later in the evening I spotted him again and snapped a picture of his well designed costume.

Assassin's Creed fever has spread around the office and it looks like we're not the only one anticipating the November, UbiSoft Montreal, release.

This is Jeff (and hell if he doesn't have the pose down), he likes to pretend he's a killer... I guess that means Assassin's Creed is a murder trainer, someone alert Jacky T!

The best I can say is look for popular cosplay forums and see if anyone has any tips. Or, look at the image and images from the game and go it yourself.

Jeff here told me it took a few days and he had some help, so don't be afraid to ask!

I've been doing cosplay since 2004, and sometimes with popular game characters like these, comes along the beautiful ACCURATELY MADE pvc 12" statue of the characters. I find those to be the most accurate when making a costume and thats exactly what I'm going to do. Already did Ryu Hayabusa and now I'm doing Altair.

If you want accuracy, sometimes the toys are the best, at least the really big ones lol.

O_o;;; Wow I came across this by chance I'm going to have to link to Jeff.

I'd like to point out Jeff had a LOT of help and it took us a few -months- not a few days, to put together this costume. We're also revamping it a little bit to make it more accurate to in-game images of Altair (new swords and daggers).

All the armor is craft foam and the boots you won't find on Ebay because they're boot covers that we made ^.^v

Ja Chibi

P.S. Anyone that wants to contact me or wants to read up on what others are doing for Altair here's a link to a thread started on Cosplay.com

I cant find a clothing list or armor, belts wraps ect. only weapons
