Apparently, February is the month for announcing sequels. Earlier this month Dead Rising 2 was announced, and was quickly followed by Mass Effect 2, and this week Lost Planet 2 showed up in the headlines as well. I have varying levels of excitement for all of them; I hope Dead Rising 2 is better than its predecessor, Mass Effect 2 is destined for greatness, and I have high(ish) hopes for Lost Planet 2. The original Lost Planet was a lot of fun: collecting heat from the slain giant-bug-alien-monsters was less of a chore than I thought it would be, the graphics were great, the mech combat intuitive, and the story was... well, it was Japanese so it's really up to what you prefer. Dead Rising was a game I didn't really enjoy. The idea was great because it's basically a playable Dawn of the Dead, and what's not to love about that? The sequel seems to be mixing things up with a possible new main character, new city, and "tens of thousands of zombies". Capcom's words, not mine. But February isn't over yet, perhaps there's another sequel patiently waiting to be announced? BioShock 2, while already announced, could use some new headlines... and I'm always ready for some StarCraft II news. Beyond Good and Evil 2? Crackdown 2? (I can dream, can't I?) Or what about Assassin's Creed 2? Even a teaser trailer would be a great way to cap off this month of twos. If you're a publisher of an unannounced second installment in one of the aforementioned franchises, I've provided a handy little image to help you out: And in related news, I was way off with my Mass Effect 2 logo. Anyone else think the real logo looks a lot like the one from a certain recently released parkour game?

Damnit Ubisoft, one trailer wasn't enough!
