Following the news that Resident Evil: Afterlife is in pre-production, Bloody Disgusting has confirmed that Sony Screen Gems is already planning a fifth Resident Evil film, which will reboot the franchise. The film is called Resident Evil Begins, and won't be featuring the sultry Milla Jovovich (Alice). Instead, the story will be a redo of the original Resident Evil's (film) story where a military team is sent in to stop a supercomputer and a bunch of zombie scientists.
I for one, would've rather had an actual adaptation of the first Resident Evil game, focusing on Jill and the STARS' first encounter with the shambling undead at the Spencer Mansion. Throw in the cast I recommended a few weeks back and you've got yourself a true Resident Evil film.
So, does Resident Evil Begins have you all excited or could you not care less about another crappy video game film? Let me know in the comments section below.
