First look at Ghostbusters gameplay

...and it looks pretty generic. The soundtrack seems pretty dead on and I'm definitely going to want to give this one a run through for the story (Akroyd's been trying to get Ghostbusters 3 made for years, so he obviously has a story he wants to get off his chest) -- but the gameplay? Looks disappointingly run-of-the-mill to me. Then again, anything with Bill Murray is worth whatever time it asks of you.

Generic gameplay is better than poor gameplay. Furthermore, generic gameplay + Ghostbusters = WIN.

For real, as long as it's fun I don't care. Not everyone needs to reinvent the wheel every time out. Hell, some people can't even build a good wheel from the start.

It looks interesting, I'll say that. Generic, true, but at the very least it's pretty, they added a lot of elements from the movies (the sounds the packs make etc) and the music was pretty alright.

I'm really looking forward to more video of this as it nears completion, hopefully with some vocals and whatnot, too.

Also, please tell me I wasn't the only person shouting 'Don't cross the streams!' when they were fighting the ghosts that had to be trapped. . .

"tell me I wasn’t the only person shouting ‘Don’t cross the streams!’ "
