First shot of the Guitar Hero 4 drum kit

Well well well, what have we here? Here's the first shot of the Guitar Hero 4 drum kit, otherwise known as "Hey we can be like Rock Band too!" While each consumer here is certainly free to make his or her own choices about whether or not this is something to be excited about, but for me this is just another attempt by Neversoft to glob on to something better than what they're able to handle themselves.

There's been a lot of talk about whether or not this will be cross compatible with Rock Band, but since there's 5 "pads" here I'm going to guess no. Besides, GH and Rock Band haven't exactly been getting along up until now. I doubt I'll ever buy a Guitar Hero game again.

This just in: next year's Tony Hawk will control exactly like Skate.

Unless it's compatible with Rock Band and superior to the Rock Band drums, I'm not getting it. The latter requirement is easily satisfiable; however, the former is near impossible. One rather interesting note is that this kit is going to be wireless, which is something Harmonix is apparently afraid of.

really...though i just thought of something. Its GUITAR hero. sooo shouldnt the guitar be the main/only focus of the game? Didnt they create rock band for the whole "band experience?"

To me it looks like money hungry devs who built a game then decided the old game needs to be like this new game and well the new game that was different from the old game but not any more.....isnt going to have compatable equipment. So we pay up.

Plus guitar hero 4 better have a kick ass song list in order for me to purchase.

As a drummer myself I can't wait! The cymbals will make it x10 better than the rockband kit!
