Force Unleashed: A look into Star Wars character development

Over at FileFront they've posted up the latest developer diary from the team at LucasArts working on the upcoming Star Wars title Force Unleashed.  For those of you not in the know, Force Unleashed takes place in the years between the two trilogies and puts you in the role of Darth Vader's apprentice.  You're tasked with traveling through the galaxy and eliminating the last remaining Jedi.

Despite a piss poor track record with Star Wars games (KOTOR being the obvious exception), I'm really looking forward to Force Unleashed.  It seems to have a lot of potential.

Besides -- the Wii version will let you use the wiimote as a lightsaber.  Who doesn't want that?

If you want a look into the character development in Force Unleashed, hop over to FileFront and check out the video.

I love that logo. I'm torn on what version to get. On one hand, I'd love to swing the wii-mote around like I'm Obi Darth Quigon Mace Skywalker, but I know the 360/PS3 version will look prettier. Am I a graphics whore? No, but I'm shallow but who cares. I'm in a weird mood today. If there is multiplayer local on the Wii, wouldn't it be cool if you could duel each other without facing the screen, but you knew you got hit by the vibrating of the controller? It makes absolutely no sense but like I said, I'm in a wierd mood and I don't care what anyone thinks about my comments today. SO THERE!

I think this game's title refers to George Lucas' ass.

I am so excited for this game, that i think i peed a little when i first heard of it's existance (not alot, maybe a drop or two). Personally the lightsaber swinging sounds a little gimmicky to me, but if the dev team can pull it off in a non Red Steel fashion i may just have a new favorite Star Wars game (only narrowly beating out KOTOR 1 and 2)

Ehh. I can't get excited over the Wii version, as much as I'd love to be.

The development team doing it doesn't have the best track record in the world... http://www.kromestudios.com/
