gt_hd_cover.jpgFirst Microsoft, now Sony. Seems all over the interwebs game companies are getting into the holiday spirit by giving us gamers a little something for nothing (and the chicks for free). Psst. Nintendo.... wink wink nudge nudge...

Recently downgraded from full-blown game to tech demo/concept, Gran Turismo Concept HD will feature 1 track (forward + backward), 2 modes (Time trial + Drift Trial) and the following cars:

  • 1995 Suzuki Cappucino

  • 1989 Mazda Eunos Roadster

  • 2004 Honda Integra TYPE R

  • 1996 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV GSR

  • 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe

  • 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR

  • 2005 Lotus Elise 111R

  • 1994 Nissan SKYLINE GT-R Vspec II

  • 1995 Toyota Celica GT-FOUR Rally Car

  • 2006 Ferrari 599

Available for the PS3, December 24th on the Playstation STORE as a free download for not only Japan, but North America as well. Finally Sony does something we can all appreciate, so long as Kutaragi doesn't come along and tell us all how lucky we are.

Press release breaks it all down here.

Well, even though I'm not getting a PS3, I can definitely say that this is awesome news. If GT is as good as people say, then this is a definite must.

The server is probably crying out today from people trying to d/l this, I did it before I went to bed last night at like 4am, and it still took about 20 minutes to d/l. I'm not a huge GT fan, but he game felt right and the graphics were indeed sick beyond belief.

it crashed the mess out of sony's servers. it took me over twelve hours just to be able to sign on to the network and access the store. then about fifteen minutes to download. so worth it.
