Not that it's totally surprising or anything but in the latest trailer for Shadowrun it suggests requiring an Xbox Live Gold Account and a Games For Windows Live Gold account to be able to play cross-platform:
Now, I know that it doesn't explicitly say that you'll have to purchase another Live account to be able to play games online in Vista, but it doesn't NOT say it either. In an ideal world your Xbox Live Gold account will just cover everything universally. Same goes for someone who might purchase a GFW Live Gold account, that would cover Xbox and cell phone use as well. Also I couldn't imagine that they would take away PC's always-been-free online play, not even Microsoft is that dumb. From Dearest Copernicus via Kotaku.
