Gears of War 2 trailer -- better than Mad World?

To this day, if someone asks me what my favorite game trailer is I can answer within a split second. Gears of War's Mad World commercial was effective on so many levels. It actually evoked emotion. When was the last time a commercial evoked emotion? So this begs the question -- why was I so surprised when Epic did it again?

Bonus points to the first reader who can tell me what the audio is. Gears of War 2 is going to be sweet.

Kevin argues that Blizzard still trumps Epic in terms of cinematics. After this and the original Mad World trailer, I be to differ. What say you?

See, I always thought the Mad World trailer was kinda dumb (that song belongs in Donnie Darko and no where else) but this new trailer was all kinds of kickass, two thumbs way up a locust's ass followed by a chainsaw.

Alan Seeger, "I Have a Rendezvous with Death," (thanks, Google!) although I don't recognize the voice...

The voice sounds like William Morgan Sheppard, who played Colonel Hargrove in the medal of honor games.

That trailer is cool and all, but naw Blizz still wins. For proof go watch the Starcraft II or Diablo III trailers.

Meh, this didn't evoke anything in me.

I'm as disappointed in this trailer as I was with the first game.

and Ryan is right, that version of Mad World belongs to Donnie Darko in my mind.
