Going on Vacation? Fly DOOM Air

My good friend Spencer from Siliconera recently enjoyed a flight on the Virgin America airlines. And while they sadly have the same "Turn off all electronic devices" for takeoffs and landings as all the other airlines, they at least have something to keep us gamers entertained in the meantime.

In the back of every headrest is a video monitor and specialized controller and offers up some standard puzzle and board games like Mahjongg and Gem Drop. His guess is that it's running on Linux, and I'm pretty sure he's right. They wouldn't have to pay to license OSX or Vista, and it's probably more than they need.

But buried in that list of casual games was the title that according to misinformed idiots is responsible for the youth of the world killing everyone. Hell some people believe it singlehandedly caused the LA Riots (well, not really, but it's not a far stretch from what some people like to attribute this game for). That's right everyone, DOOM!

Now while you're flying the friendly skies you can play a FPS that'll make you feel like it's 1993!

That screenshot is pretty soft so it's had to tell, but it looks like there's even a little graphics filtering going on there.
