Gridrunner +++ screenshots surface

I, how you say, liked Space Giraffe. A lot actually. I've mentioned it numerous times in the bitcast and a few other locations as well. Jeff Minter is obviously a weirdo and the games he makes more often than not aren't even remotely accessible. It's like he wants you to not like his games at first, he makes you work at it. And I mean that in a good way.

Anyways, Space Giraffe pretty much split the gamer sites out there with most people hating the shit out of it... which I understand I suppose. But Jeff's next game is an update to Gridrunner and is now XBLA bound and the screenshots are sadly not going to change any Space Giraffe haters minds. It's more of the same nonsense.

Which for me means it's a must-buy.

There's a few more shots over on Jeff Minter's livejournal page.

I have a feeling that Minter's creative process works something like this:

a) psilocybin
b) fuck around with shaders until something strikes you as appropriately groovy
c) shoehorn old game design in around the psychadelia
