Shacknews has a great preview up for the latest "episodic" installment of the Half-Life 2 expansions. They hit on pretty much every noteworthy thing about the game, including this little gem from Valve's Doug Lombardi that opens the piece:

"The word 'episodic' is so clearly incorrect," admitted Valve's Doug Lombardi during a recent discussion in Valve's Bellevue, Washington offices. "We're kind of stuck with it now."

If this was Fark that would get slapped with the "Ironic" tag. If Valve weren't the first ones to think of releasing content this way, the were certainly the first ones to bring major attention to it. Either way I trust Valve to deliver a good game like I trust Pixar to deliver good flicks: without a second thought.

The preview's filled with some great description of the way the typical Half-Life gameplay is being expanded and hints at little treats that we can expect to enjoy when we get the game sometime this fall.
