Our media culture is a massive merry-go-round of replication. It's kind of mind-boggling. Below is a machinima recreation of the Halo 3 "Landfall" short film by Neil Blomkamp, the ill-fated attempt at stirring movie studio interest in a full-fledged Halo movie based on the games. See what I mean? But more importantly, how faithful is this fan service?

Just after the jump is the original Landfall short film. Compare and contrast. Discuss.
