Alex Rigopulos, co-founder and CEO of Harmonix gave what must've been the most entertaining presentation ever at D.I.C.E. He starts off by telling those in attendance that the company is currently "Living the dream" since the release of Guitar Hero. The year Guitar Hero was released is pretty obvious on the slide below. Sadly the years 2 of my favorite games (Frequency and Amplitude) were released are shown in red.
The presentation gets better from here. Click the jump for what may be the 1st Powerpoint presentation with rodent genitalia.
How many copies of Frequency and Amplitude did Harmonix sell? Sadly.... not many. In Alex's words they sold "Mouse Nuts".
Now onto Guitar Hero. The 1st slide here shows the cons for making the game, and below that are the pros. Thank god for all of us they went with the pros.
