Hey Nintendo - Isn't it Monday?

I know I'm in the minority on this one, but as much as I've been enjoying the Wii I can't help but feel that Nintendo has really been dropping the ball lately. First it was the component cables, then it was the browser, weather and news channels not being ready for launch, then it was the nunchuk shortage - and now? Nintendo assured us only two days before the launch that we'd see Virtual Console titles hit the Shopping Channel every Monday. Well Nintendo, two Monday's have come and gone and we've yet to hear a peep. As a matter of fact, the only VC titles to appear after the launch were Bomberman '93 and Bonk's Adventure last Tuesday - two titles that were supposed to be available when the console shipped!

I'm trying to be as forgiving as I can, but's let's face facts - there were very few of us in the "Wii60" category that passed on getting in a ton of face time with the new XBLA smash Small Arms this week - and considering that the Wii has only been in our home for a week, that's not a good sign. Nintendo - get off your asses and get me my Mean Bean Machine already.

i think it's because deep down, the japanese hate canadians. i think that has something to do with not understanding maple syrup.

seriously though, i can't say i'm surprised. B hasn't even been able to get his wii to connect to his wireless network to find out he can't download anything new each and every monday. it's their first shot at something they told us wasn't the future of gaming a "generation" ago. give it time, enjoy the 360's easy of use, and be glad the wii isn't the only system you own.
