This goes double for someone that you can play the game with so you can get some enjoyment out of it too. It's expensive, but you certainly get a lot for your buck (Guitar, Drums, a microphone and the game) and it's a better deal than 100 bucks for the Guitar Hero 3 bundle. It may be getting hard to find, but that'll make the gift even more special. And with new content coming out every week for Rock Band, you can buy a gift card for their birthday to buy more songs! But this pack gives you perhaps the best value EVER in the history of gaming. No bull. What you get here is 4 games that could easily stand on their own. Half-Life 2, Episodes 1 and 2 for HL2, Team Fortress 2 and Portal, which is responsible for multiple internet-memes and in our running for game of the year. Of course this one is violent as all get out, so it's not for the young'uns, but for the adult on your list, it's impossible to get more bang for you buck than The Orange Box. Santa Says: In a world of sports titles that seem to offer nothing more than a roster update year after year, it's refreshing to find a new sports title that actually succeeds at doing something a little different than the rest. At it's core,The Bigs may seem like little more than an arcade-style swinger, but get a little more involved and you'll start to see a lot of RPG-style elements as you level up your rookie based on his performance and the types of skills you want him to develop. Couple that with the uber-addictive Pinball mode that has you wrecking Times Square as you shoot for that high score, and you'll find yourself engrossed in one of the best sports titles of the year. ESRB Rating: MMSRP: $29.99 BUY IT NOW! Santa Says: Halo 3 beta featuring Crackdown? No way man, this game kick ass... especially in co-op. While the Halo 3 beta sadly overshadowed the game, that just means you'll have no problem hunting down a used copy. It's like GTA except you're a superhuman cop, and what's not great about that? Simply jumping from rooftop to rooftop never gets old, nor picking up a car and drop-kicking it a city block. 
Forza Motorsport 2ESRB Rating: EMSRP: $39.99 BUY IT NOW! Santa Says: While new console owners can find this critically acclaimed simulation-racer included with their system, Forza Motorsport 2 is a great addition to those who already have a growing library of classic titles. Taking its cues from its predecessor, Forza 2 combines hundreds of licensed cars, over a dozen tracks and some of the best customization any game has ever had. Not only is it beautiful, but this game plays and sounds like the real thing and is the perfect fit for a gear-head.
