Damn You, Daft Punk!

DJ Hero looked interesting.  I wouldn’t say I was super excited for it, but definitely wanted to try it out.  As a fan of Beatmania, it’s nice to see the genre returning, but my main hesitation against immediately buying it was the over $100 price tag.  Then Daft Punk came along and ruined everything.

Those wacky robots are in the game, remixing the hell out of everything, and have now convinced me I need this game.  It’s almost as if the developers thought “Wait, Daniel isn’t on board yet?  Quick!  Call Daft Punk!”  Now if only Harmonix would do the same and make The Smiths: Rock Band, I’d be in heaven.  I better start saving up now.  DJ Hero launches October 27.

Oh man, "DJ Hero: Wedding Edition" sounds like a title in serious need of parody.

Box art proclaims things like
"PLAY TRACKS FOR 3 MINUTES STRAIGHT WHILE DOING NOTHING!"
"TAKE REQUESTS FROM WEDDING GUESTS VIA LIVE ARCADE!"
"INCLUDES THE CHICKEN DANCE!"

Don't let the beat drop in this awesome game of being a DJ. Play tracks from popular party dance songs like the Hokey Pokey to classic slow dance music like Unchained Melody.

Urg... why is my Photoshop at home and not here at work....
