Import Request: Thunder Force VI

It's simple enough to play imports on some systems (Dreamcast, any Nintendo handheld), but when it comes to PS2 imports, you're going to need a hacked console or an expensive Japanese system. This makes importing a lot of fantastic games prohibitive to a lot of gamers, including myself. And I want my Thunder Force VI, dammit!

Thunder Force VI is the first new addition to the classic console shmup series in ten years. The previous games were for the most part fantastic, so I'm eager to try this one out. Famitsu scored the game at 24 (out of 40), but I'm still intrigued.

While the profitability of a physical Western release is questionable, I'm still hoping that the game could pop up on XBLA. So, SEGA, won't you help a guy out and bring TFVI overseas?

Thunder Force VI was released in Japan by SEGA on October 30, 2008, for the PS2.
