Irony is everywhere: the second to last cover of EGM

Dan brought us the bad news last night, and all I could think about was this cover;

It's from issue 235 of EGM. While 236 is the last issue that will ever see stands, I can't help but see the ominous spelling on the stone -- one issue before end with the words "THE END IS NIGH" emblazoned across the front.

RIP EGM. We had some good times. Looks like I won't get to write for you after all.

apperently, according to the staff blogs on 1up, theres one more issue thats going to be coming out.

also you might find this interesting.

I called Ziff davis customer service today at about 1pm central time to ask what was going to happen for subscribers. I just started a 2 year subscription- 3 months ago- and I wanted to know what was going to happen with my year and 9 months I had left. Well apperently, the people I talked to had no fucking idea what I was talking about and I had to give them a few websites for them to go check out so they could get caught up.

then they told me to call back later when they actually knew what was going on.
