Is Force Unleashed for the PS3 a bug-ridden mess?

No word of this online yet, so I'm wondering if there's just a bad box of Jedi floating around in my neck of the woods.  I've made no secret of my work in a retail/rental games outlet (keen listeners to the bitcast should know the franchise I pimp for).  Over the past few days we've had three returns of Force Unleashed PS3.  Three.  To put that into perspective, it's almost October and these are the first game returns that we've had due to brand new defective product all year.  That sounds like a lot more than coincidence to me.

All three returns had the same complaints -- the game would freeze, be buggy when it worked, or wouldn't load all together.  Not knowning their set ups, I can't help but wonder if maybe the game isn't running right on older firmware or if there was a patch at launch to fix these issues.  If these customers keep their consoles offline, maybe that's what's going on.

On a side note I'm playing the 360 version as we speak.  My only problem?  I need a towel the size of Texas to clean up after my nerdgasm.

Anyone else out there having issues?

I've had some problems. Nothing like assassin's creed. Mine doesn't freeze but 1 time I fell through the ground and another time I got stuck in the middle of a jumping animation when I landed on a plant on the fungus planet level. I haven't had my game completely freeze but I can tell there was not enough testing done. Its funny cause my brother has the 360 version and he fell through the ground too but the 360 looks like the more stable version.

I played all the way through the PS3 version and other than a few un-necessarily difficult due to the poor control choices, I didn't have any "buggy" issues with it. I actually enjoyed the game thoroughly even though it was a bit short.

I've had the game freeze on me twice now (ps3) while fighting the emperor. It's always when he has the electrified things in the air to throw at me and I jump and do a Force Repulse to knock them away. These freezes tick me off for 2 reasons... first is that they look totally awesome and I would love to have it as a background and the 2nd is that both times it's happened, I've gotten the Emperor down to just under 1/4 power... If it happens again, I'm going dark and I'm gonna kill Vader instead...

I've also fallen through the floor twice (once when fighting the AT-ST in the demo, the other in the full game on the medi-ship) and gotten stuck behind a mountain on Raxxus Prime.

Other than that, the Star Wars uber-nerd inside of me won't let me stop playing... the aerial combos to finish off a Purge Trooper are just too much fun

I've had the PS3 freeze once and a few graphical glitches. Worse was the Default text* bug where the holocron, objectives and force points count disappears...!
