I was cruising around Wonderland like a good little Mad Hatter and I was fortunate enough to stumble across this. Even though the good folks over there quipped "It's a good thing those old Atari joysticks were actually more or less immovable, or your coats would just slide off," I think I'm going to have to go ahead and say that these might not have been for the good old pine box. After all, Atari joysticks didn't have that big red knob on the top - and if this was aftermarket, why would they have added a button that the 2600 didn't have? Regardless, these are very cool hangers - and an excellent example of reduce/reuse/recycle. I'm the last person in the world to save margarine containers and shit like that, but if you can take what would otherwise be trash and turn it into something fabulous, I'm all for it. I've got a small collection of Zapper's in the closet and a couple of broken ROB's - maybe I can turn all of that into something cool?
