Konami Stirs the Pot

This image is very interesting, because what you see in it depends on where you are coming from as a gamer. Or so it seems. This was put out by Kojima Productions today as a little teaser.

I see: the 360's green colour, a PC's (well, everything really) power symbol, and little Wii-style "i"s.

"A next Metal Gear game"... is... multiplatform?

We know there are trademarks already for "Metal Gear Existence". But this might be something else. The url has "MGST" in the title... Metal Gear Solid Tactics? Trilogy? Tofu?

Any guesses?

[edit - just remembered the "!"s in Metal Gear Ac!d... hrm]

[edit 2 - Metal Gear for iPhone/DSi?]

I hoping it's for the 360. If it is for the 360 it' probably because of Ryan P. who now works for Microsoft formally of the K.P. Team.

Does the BBPS staff really care where MGS goes? I know fanboy's do.

Except the Wii.

I say 360 port of MGS 4. It would make sense money wise.

I think it's saying that when an 'i' and an exclamation point really love each other, sometimes a little exclamation point is born out of the womb of the mommy exclamation point.

Or it's just a reference to a 360 port.

Either way.

I'd be surprised at an MGS4 port to 360 just because it indicates a "new" Metal Gear game.

My favourite theory is still the iPod Touch idea. Metal Gear Solid Touch.

Anyways this one graphic has now spawned 46 pages (and counting) of frothing on NeoGAF. Such is the power of Kojima-san.

Metal Gear Solid 4 confirmed for HP Photosmart C3180 All-In-One Printer.

Kojima is trying to take the series in a whole new experimental direction.
"You play as an as-yet-unnamed character who is a cryptologist for FOXHOUND. Gameplay involves turning the printer on, where you will periodically receive incoming documents sent by Solid Snake from his field reconnaissance. Your goal is to decipher the content of the document, and scan your updated version to your superiors. Snake also sends you reports of how he is faring in the field, and if you decipher your documents incorrectly, Snake will fail the mission or die (as HQ did not guide him correctly because of your screwup)."
It actually sounds like a pretty cool game.
