LegoSW-01.gifThe first Star Wars lego game from LucasArts and Traveler's Tales was suprisingly fun. Probably alot more so than it deserved to be. Just about everyone I know that played it enjoyed it (except that one friend that just doesn't like fun, but there's no pleasing some people). Seriously, a game that looked to be for children only ended up being a nice escape with some really sharp level design. The major problem I had with the game was that it was based on the new movies, which suck.

Now with the inevitable sequel, developer Traveler's Tales has gone back to the original trilogy (the only one that should count) to let us re-live all our favorite moments in glorious lego form. A big enhancement this time around will be in the vehicles. A nice treat last time around, in this game we'll get to see alot more of it.

Video and more after the jump

The one aspect of the game that has me the most interested is this adaptive difficulty. In short, the difficulty will adjust itself on the fly depending on how well you play the game. This way, in theory, anyone at any age can play at their own skill level and still enjoy themselves.

IGN has a nice little preview write-up here.

Add-in the ability to build your own lego stuff this time around and you have a game that sounds like it's going to have everything we loved about the first game plus some!

Luckily, we've been given a trailer to get us all excited inside.

There was something oddly addictive about destroying stuff and having it burst into a million lego pieces. And this time around, the Deathstar is going DOWN!!
