Over the past few weeks Microsoft has really kicked it into high gear with the Marketplace downloads. It's the kind of frenzy they normally reserve for a "Bringing it Home" event, only there's no event going on! Here are some of the highlights in case you've been away from console; Demos - Shrek the Third
- Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia
- Armored Core 4
Trailers - Halo 3: Vidoc "Is Quisnam Protero Damno!"
- College Hoops 2K7: Day in the Life of an NBA Rookie
Downloadable Content - Alien Hominid: PDA Hot New Levels
- Guitar Hero 2: Track Pack 1
- Guitar Hero 2: Track Pack 2
- Guitar Hero 2: Track Pack 3
- Lost Planet: Multiplayer Maps #2
- Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Heroes Pack - MIA - supposed to be release 4/10
- Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Villains Pack - MIA - supposed to be release 4/10
- Test Drive Unlimited: Free Lexus Collection Volume 2
Live Arcade Picture Packs & Themes - Alien Hominid
- Far Cry Instincts: Preadator
- Guitar Hero II
- Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
- MLB 2K7
- NCAA March Madness 07
- Phantasy Star Universe
Anything out their tickle your ivories? I can't wait to play Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia, so that demo's a definite download for me. Plus I'm still waiting on the 4/10 promised MUA Heroes and Villains packs. And if you haven't played Boom Boom Rocket yet, you don't know what you're missing. There's a feature in the full version that renders the Jeff Minter-helmed visualizer that ships with your console useless -- it's a fireworks display that goes in time with your streamed music! If you ask me, that's worth the 800 points alone.
