Mass Effect 2 Update!

A few weeks ago Mass Effect 2 was announced and now some details on the highly anticipated sequel have finally been revealed. Besides the announcement that the game will be released in early 2009, it has been confirmed that those who own the original will be able to transfer their characters to Mass Effect 2. So if you're particularly proud of how your character looks (like myself), you won't have to redesign them for Mass Effect 2. The story continues where the last Mass Effect left off (although it hasn't yet been revealed how much time has passed between the two games).

If you want more information than check out the 2-disc Mass Effect Platinum Hits edition as it will have more info including a documentary titled The Future of Mass Effect, which has details on the sequel as well as the upcoming DLC for the original game that has something to do with Commander Shepard and a Casino/Fight Club space station (Intrigued?).

I can't explain how loud I screamed when I heard about the character transfer!

But I already have the Mass Effect OST. Is the platinum hits edition like all other platinum hits for the 360? Or will it be like a GOTY edition?

Wait, 2009 or 2010? The original announcement says 2010 but it says here 2009.

I apologize, that's a typo, it is 2010.
