Now I can't read Japanese, but I think the beginning goes something like: In 20XX, robots attacked the city again. "Oh no!" everyone cried. "Don't worry," said Mega Man. "I'll stop them." So he starts kicking ass, Protoman shows up, and he starts kicking ass as well. The day is saved.

Now we've all seen Sheep Man, but what about the rest of the robot masters? We only get glimpses of their silhouettes. Easy Mode seems a little too easy, but at least will let you finish the game before you smash your controller into your skull.

The desert/sand stage was confirmed as Commando Man by Nintendo Power already.
