I've made no secret of my saliva-enducing anticipation for this one. Judging by the comments on my last post, neither have you.

Now courtesy of GoNintendo we have our first look at the game in moving pictures. /drool. The soundtrack alone is making me moist in my areas.

So gooey and delicious... I MUST HAVE IT!!!

I hope that September date is a release date. And I hope the US gets the game that soon as well.

Alright I held my tongue (fingers) before when I heard about the "retro" thing because I wanted to see it in motion.

This.. is really stupid. They're preying on your retro memories. I enjoy the giant pixellated style - and it *is* a legitimate "style" - but NOT as an excuse to simply make a GameBoy Color game for new systems! That's all this is!

@Ryan Hewson

I'm gonna have to wholeheartedly disagree with your opinion. Mega Man 9 is the first title I have gotten excited for in a very long time.

No offense, but Capcom isn't designing this with you in mind. This is for people like myself who miss the old days of gaming when it wasn't all about the graphics. Are we a very small subset of gamers? Probably. But that's the great thing about WiiWare, XBLA, etc.: It allows developers to quickly and cheaply cater to niche markets.

I'm hoping this is the beginning of a new gaming trend and hope to see more new NES games in the future.

@Ryan: if they sold this game for regular retail price ($49.99US), then I'd have to agree; however, I doubt they will. If the game is as good as any of the Mega Man 2 through 5 games was, it's worth it for a smaller price.

While I can agree, to some extent, that the game could benefit from updated graphics, basing an opinion solely on the retro graphical elements is rather shallow.

I watched that movie with the sound muted last night. It's... really something else with the sound playing. o.o Wow. I can't believe that Capcom is seriously making such a projet! It's really incredible how they're going in the opposite direction of what people expected, especially since they are usually shy about making any controversial changes!

I think it's a bit lazy... they should've atleast updated it to like 16 bit or something.
