Midway Keeping Kool

When you hear the word, Midway, what comes to mind? Correct! Mortal Kombat is the first thing I think of too. Hot off the news that Midway might be selling off it's only real franchise to keep itself from drowning in a sea of debt (a rather deep sea, over a quarter of a billion deep), another Mortal Kombat has been announced! Well, sort of.

In its first smart move in a long time (economic or otherwise), Midway has decided to continue paying Ed Boon (the Mortal Kombat Kreator... get it?) bonuses. And in related news it seems that another Mortal Kombat will be out within a year, here's to hoping it's better than MK vs. DCU.

Kreator was a play on the Mortal Kombat series' obsession with the letter K. Calm down.

HA. Sorry...I thought you were making a reference to the band kreator (endless pain, pleasure to kill)...I don't believe using a K instead of a C warrants a "get it" in a Mortal Kombat article. I guess I didn't get it...

As a side note, if Capcom bought the franchise... Would they become Kapcom?... (Runs in fear from angry mob).
