Happy Birthday Miyamoto!

shigerumiyamoto2.jpgThe man, the myth, the legend is having a birthday!

Shigeru Miyamoto, the man people sometime refer to as "The Speilberg of videogames" but us gamers mostly know as Shiggy is turning 54 today.

The man somewhat responsible for Nintendo being what it is, and directly responsible for games like Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, Star Fox, Earthbound, and Zelda. Not to mention countless others.

Not to get all gushy here, but Miyamoto-san is one of the few people I would love to meet. I'm not the kind of person who'd be starstruck meeting some celebrity, but Shiggy is just in a different league to me.

To be totally honest one of the reasons I started this site was to maybe one day score an interview with him (Not that I'm under any delusion that it'll actually happen, but a man needs a dream). I could probably die a happy death after that.

He's no Kojima! But he probably is a greatest developer of all time, and he catapulted us further into this wonderful entertainment known as gaming. Thanks and happy b-day Miyamoto.

My dream is to meet Kojima. Oh and the EA execs so I can tell them how bad their games suck. Superman is kinda cool though, I'm not gonna front.
