Yeah, that's what the gaming public are craving -- handheld adaptations of a movie that came out three years ago. Still, Napeleon Dynamite is the only film that's truly attained cult status so far this century. Maybe trying to cash in on it isn't such a terrible idea. After all - wouldn't you want to play a Spinal Tap game?

“Napoleon Dynamite is one of the great cult classics of the past decade,” said Mark Burke, senior vice president of product planning and business development at Crave Entertainment. “It’s one of those films that has great memorable lines and characters, and we expect that fans of the movie will really like the game.”

No word yet on when these titles will hit or what the gameplay will consist of, but I'll tell you this much -- if it's lacking either a dancing or ramp-jumping mini-game, I may have to set myself on fire just to satisfy the pain. Napoleon Dynamite will be hitting both the PSP and DS.
