theoffice-kevin.jpgSince the news about the Guitar Hero III downloadable packs released the other day were met with a combination of groans and "meh's" around thebbps offices that we never even bothered telling you all about it. If you're dying to know, check it out there (I'll save you some time, they're lackluster and still a rip-off).

But Rock Band on the other hand has been giving us so much damn good news bits that it must seems like we're walking around with painted on smiles (like the Joker!).

ScoreHero broke news about some more upcoming DLC that just makes the great package of the game even better (at least in our opinion). Just check out this list of songs they've unearthed...

Police pack: Roxanne, Synchronicty II, Cant stand losing you, all masters

Queens of the stone age pack: 3s and 7s, Sick Sick Sick, Little Sister, all masters

Metallica pack: A three or six song pack, no songs announced yet

Black Sabbath pack: N.I.B, Sweet Leaf, War Pigs, all covers

David Bowie: Moonage Daydream, Heroes, Queen Bitch

Punk Pack:

Ever fallen in love, by Buzzcocks, cover

I fought the law, by Clash

Rcokaway Beach by Ramones

Single Songs:

Fortunate Song-Credence Clearwater Revival

Juke Box Hero- Foreigner

My Sharona- The Knack

Cherry Bomb- The Runaways

Bang a Gong- T-Rex

Joker and the Thief- Wolfmother

Brass in a Pocket- Pretenders

My Irong Lung- Radiohead

Buddy Holly- Weezer

Sill no word on pricing, hopefully they don't come out with something outrageous an bring this whole thing crashing back down to Earth.

More Weezer = Awesome

Whenever I see "Police" songs on Guitar Hero or Rock Band, I'm reminded of some friends of ours. They were playing Guitar Hero while their 7-year-old son was in another room with a friend. The boys heard the song "Message in a Bottle" and while heading towards the TV to watch the Guitar Hero gameplay, the son was overheard telling his friend, "hey, let's go watch my parents mess up the Police."

Lol'ling all over Xerxes' story.

I can't wait to play "Moonage Daydream", it's my favorite song on one of my favorite albums.

my only gripe with this is the cross game song use. I can understand 3s and 7s but why are they reusing Synchronicity II and War Pigs? I know there are other songs from those bands they could have used. Why not Heaven and Hell instead of War Pigs or what have you. Heh, not huge deal, just me nitpicking really.

My question is why are these DLC. Rockband only has 58 songs. While Guitar Hero 2 had 64 and Guitar Hero 3 has 71. Then again, wouldn't be the first time EA has held back content to make more loot.

Grim, let's hold back blaming the EA Corporate Machine of Greed until they also tell us how these things are priced. Then when can safely start laying blame on their doorstep if necessary.

Could be because they had already made the entire game and it was already on the disc and mass produced before they were able to put these songs on.

Let's not forget that while Guitar Hero II only needed two different sets of tracks (guitar + bass/rhythm) every song in Rock Band needs four different sets. So really, while GH 2 has 128 (64 x 2) and GH 3 has 142, Rock Band really has 232.

Yay math.

I don't know, The fact that DLC is being talked about even before the game comes out, Really is rubbing me the wrong way.

Also...I would be surprised if the pricing matches Guitar Hero 2/3.
