You can't keep a marginal website down...

Well, getting on the front page of digg.com makes for an interesting afternoon. It would seem an economy hosting plan can't handle the crush of traffic that such a thing can bring. Interestingly enough, when talking to my GoDaddy.com support tech, he didn't even know what digg was, which is strange since GoDaddy is a big sponser of the diggnation podcast.

Now for a little nugget of info...

Now I'm no Sony basher, really I'm not, but they're PR campaign for the PS3 seems misguided. So far they've told us it's too cheap, it's expensive cause it's like eating a steak, people would buy it even if there were no games, it's not a console it's a computer, they don't care about market share, and now people are going to buy it for it's potential.

Stringer recently said that people would flock to the PS3 because of the systems potential. Is it just me or are they trying to tell us there won't be anything available on day one, while at the same time telling us we can't live without it?

I'm no fanboy, I'd like all the systems to have great games, but it's hard these days to look forward to the PS3.

It's good to see 1127 diggs.
As for Sony, they always say stupid things, and people talk about how awful it is, but when they launch systems, people buy them. PS2 launch, they might as well have not launched any games. Orphan? Summoner? The only thing people bought was Madden. When you buy a system at launch, you are buying the system for its potential because there is nothing to play for the first three months. That's just my two cent.

I second that notion Greshkov. I think there are a lot of people out there who are just getting into video games. Most of them picked up a PS2 or XBOX when the prices dropped. So of course when they got their respective units, there were tons of games already available to play. Fast foward to the next gen where those same people don't really understand the concept of the lauching of a new system and the bare bones selection. I think they're somewhat spolied. Last gen when they entered into this activity there were games aplenty to choose from, now they blame it on Microsoft or Sony for the birth of a new game library.
